Hey Rae,I wanted to say this properly because you deserve that.I always enjoyed you as a person and a real friend. Even when we disagreed, we could still find a way to get along, and that meant a lot to me. You were real with me, not fake, not sugarcoating things, just honest and I respect that more now than I did then. I really did enjoy our conversations about life, even if sometimes I felt like you didn’t fully get me. But the truth is, you still tried, and I know that’s not easy with me.When I got with Lamar, I started separating myself from everyone, including you. Our communication faded, and instead of fixing that, I kind of let it happen. When I brought you into Lamar’s server, part of it was because I genuinely felt like you two could get along, but also because I knew I hadn’t been the best friend and I wanted a way to reconnect. You’ve always been a good person. You support the people around you, you’re selfless, and you care in a real way. I remember how I used to say you should think of yourself as better than everyone, and you’d call me self-centered. Back then I took that the wrong way, but now I understand you weren’t trying to bring me down, you were being honest with me, and a lot of the time, you were right.I also need to take accountability for how I treated you. I’m bipolar, and at the time I didn’t understand it or how to control it. My mood would flip out of nowhere I’d go from feeling like people were against me to thinking I was above everything, and I didn’t even realize it was happening. Instead of trying to understand myself, I let it affect how I saw you and how I treated you, and that’s on me.I miss the normal moments we had, like when we’d just be on call talking about random stuff like when we talked about our favorite characters in “I know what you did last summer”, and I loved that you played the keyboard, the piano is my favorite instrument, I wish I got better at it.Even my mom remembered you she said you sounded really nice and asked where you went because she could tell I actually enjoyed talking to you.Everything started spiraling for me around late November. I hurt people I never wanted to hurt, including you. It wasn’t intentional, but that doesn’t erase what I did. Back then I tried to apologize, but I wasn’t even in the right mindset to be genuine, and I didn’t even fully explain what was going on with me.Now I’m actually getting help. I’m not trying to prove anything to strangers I’m trying to be better for the people I actually care about. And you’re one of those people.I just want you to know that I appreciate you, I respect you, and I’m sorry for how I handled things with you. I’m focused on doing better now, not just saying it.I’m glad you and Sky are there for Lamar, and I’m grateful I got the chance to know real people like you before everything went left.—Zion
